Northwestern Senior Runner Jacob Myers has chosen to continue his education and running career at Trine University. On Friday, November 16th Jacob Myers signed to continue his Cross Country and Track running careers at NCAA Division III Trine University in Angola, Indiana. Jacob said that he chose Trine due to the educational offerings in the field of physical therapy, tremendous atmosphere on campus, new upgraded facilities and that he really liked the Coaching staff/athletes when he visited the campus. Jacob has been accepted into the Trine DPT program and plans to run both Cross Country and Track at Trine. Jacob was asked why he chose to continue to run after high school. Jacob said that he has had this as a goal for years as he loves to run. “Running is my passion he said, I just love it” He feels strongly that he needs the structure of sport to give him a focus on his education. Jacob commented that he has always been a stronger student when he is competing in athletics. Jacob currently runs cross country, track and swims on the Tiger swimming and diving team. When asked what his college goals are he said to maintain a 4.0 GPA, provide attitude/atmosphere and contribute in any way possible to the team.
